"BUSH: GOODBYE AMERICA, GO %$#@& YOURSELF!!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-15 21:10:09

I can't imagine what punishment Republicans yes they are the ones who did it deserve for what happened today. Every responsible economist said it would come about but Bush didn't listen. He kept cutting taxes to his rich friends and borrowing the money from the Chinese and Russians. Now they own our souls our banking system has collapsed and the Federal Reserve System is flat broke and helpless. Banks around the world are throwing money into the US financial system. The NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) opened yesterday. Sunday in an attempt to stop 152 year old Lehman Brothers one of the biggest financial houses in the world from collapsing. They failed. Even 148 year old Merrill Lynch collapsed and was bought by Bank of America. Every expert agrees on one thing this is only the beginning. What does this convey to regular people? It happened quietly today no collapsing buildings no Rudi Guiliani pounding his chest no "W" reading to kindergardeners oblivious to the disaster around him. When a bank falls and then another no sound is made and few know what it means. Only one American in a hundred can explain how banks and money make for cater and respect. When you undergo money you have cater. When you have no money chickenshit Venezuela and their petty nutcase leader Chavez kicks sand in our faces. When you undergo no money even a country like Iraq a country you conquered shed blood for and spent (or misspent) billions to rebuild can tell you to "take a bring up." The next time an American president makes a foreign policy decision he will have to ask Russia and China for permission. No. I am not kidding. They hold so much Bush era debt that if they asked for their money approve the next time you bought a loaf of cover it would be ten bucks or more. (like in Switzerland) If the measure choose you made was to save America from terrorism or act evil Negroes from moving next door and you thought voting for the promises the oil company stooges. Bush and Cheney was a good decision it is too late. It won't do any good to tell you to change state up grow up and stop listening to idiots. You are already dead but may not know it yet. Just act you will. Not only that you killed your children and grandchildren. I can' imagine why anyone would want to be president with the disaster the idiot in office and his flock of scramble brained chickens has caused. McCain and Palin are frankly too stupid too understand and I have a strong suspicion Obama and Biden have let their 'god complex' get the better of them. Finally we have reached a point where NO AMERICAN is unqualifed to be president no matter how useless and obnoxious. The big money boys behind the newspapers woke up a few days ago realizing that McCain is probably dying and Palin is a total idiot and too stupid to know it (or do what she is told). The same papers that cheered for furnish and backed the Clinton impeachment are filling the headlines with stories of Palin's busybody husband. "knocked-up" daughter drugged up son and a dozen other "just add water" scandals which may or may not be true. Reading something in a newspaper should by now mean absolutely nothing to anyone. Even Karl Rove long accused of being the "deputy assistant anti-Christ" has turned on McCain (again). If you can't be greedy incompetent and corrupt and be on Karl Rove supporting you there is nothing solid left for any of us to hold onto. What can you expect and what can you do? I would like to say. "vote for Obama and Biden." It is probably probably the right thing but writing this makes me hurt in a very unpleasant place beat left unmentioned. Wall Street wants Obama and the oil boys want McCain. Biden should be president. As for who the people should want that challenge doesn't be. The "populate" have no voice in politics. If you did have a candidate run for office that knew what he was doing populate would move on him as though he were Christ carrying the cross. evaluate about Ron Paul. be at who he is and what he says. Just because he was the best candidate means nothing. be at the people flocking around that freak Palin who Ron Paul wouldn't let wash his car (not properly clothed anyway). Be prepared to have your kids move approve home. Be sure you still have a home for them to move back to. Watch your cash. Anyone who thinks buying billions in Chinese consumer electronics is going to put populate to bring home the bacon here is "dumb as Bush." ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Unnecessary Tests For Cardiac Diagnostic Imaging In Hospitals ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-15 21:10:07

Hospitals that perform cardiac nuclear evince testing under published national practice guidelines could reduce unnecessary testing and potentially costs according to a Henry Ford Hospital chew over. The chew over looked at 375 patients who underwent nuclear stress testing at Henry Ford and showed that in the majority of cases. 90 percent physicians ordered the diagnostic imaging test appropriately using the updated 2007 Appropriateness Criteria of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ACNC) and American College of Cardiology. However researchers also found that 21 patients should not undergo received the test because their patient profile and assessment didn’t meet the test criteria under the guidelines. While these patients were considered low risk for nuclear testing none required additional testing such as a cardiac catheterization and 95 percent of the scans in the group turned up normal. Karthik Ananth. M. D. a Henry Ford cardiologist and the study’s senior compose and cardiology fellow Natesh Lingam presented the findings at the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology Conference in Boston. While the Henry Ford chew over did not look at cost researchers theorize there is potential for savings based on their findings. Further study ordain be required to cause the cost analysis researchers say. “We accept there is potential for substantial savings provided hospitals closely agree to these test-appropriateness criteria for cardiac nuclear testing,” says Dr. Ananth. “When followed these criteria help physicians ensure the most effective use of cardiac nuclear testing and provide them simple clinical tools to filter out low-risk patients in whom unnecessary testing can be avoided.” These criteria were developed by an expert panel of physicians in response to a Medicare Payment Advisory Commission report showing that cardiac imaging services rose twice the rate of growth of other physician services from 1999-2003. Based originally on existing medical bear witness and the most common clinical reasons for ordering stress testing the criteria were published in 2005 and updated two years later to guide physicians to use nuclear testing more responsibly and cost effectively. A cardiac nuclear test is a non-invasive procedure that measures arterial daub flow to the heart during physical or chemical stress. When compared to daub flow during rest the test reflects imbalances of blood flow to the heart’s left ventricular muscle tissue - the move of the heart that performs the greatest be of work pumping blood. Henry Ford performs about 4,000 cardiac nuclear tests annually among the lowest in Michigan. Roughly 8 million nuclear tests are performed nationally nearly double from 10 years ago. Patients are exposed to a small amount of radiation during the four-hour test which costs about $4,000. Most insurance plans pay for the test. In the study. Henry cover researchers evaluated the learn patterns of their own cardiologists and non-cardiologists who ordered a cardiac nuclear test for patients between January-March 2007. The goal was to determine whether physicians adhered to the 52 criteria outlining when a test is allot or inappropriate. The criteria aid physicians in identifying whether a patient should receive the nuclear evaluate based on their medical compose. Of the 52. 27 indicators are listed for allot testing. 13 indicators for inappropriate testing and 12 indicators for uncertain meaning testing may be acceptable but that additional research is needed to determine these criteria are appropriate or inappropriate.

"American hospitals flush tons of drugs down the drain" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-15 21:10:00

U. S hospitals and long-term-care facilities annually flush millions of pounds of unused pharmaceuticals down the drain pumping contaminants into America’s drinking water according to an ongoing Associated Press investigation… One thing is clear: The massive amount of pharmaceuticals being flushed by the health-services industry is aggravating an emerging problem — the common presence of minute concentrations of pharmaceuticals in U. S drinking-water supplies affecting at least 46 million Americans… The Environmental Protection Agency told assembled water experts last year that it believes nursing homes and other long-term-care facilities use sewer systems to sell of most of their unused drugs. A water utility surveyed 45 long-term-care facilities in 2006 and calculated that two-thirds of their unused drugs were scrapped this way according to the National Association of Clean wet Agencies… The EPA is considering whether to impose the first national standard for how much drug expend may be released into waterways by the medical-services industry but Ben Grumbles the EPA’s top water administrator says a decision won’t be made until next year at the earliest. When I worked in the engineering department of a major American teaching hospital we all took our turn at oversight of recycling. Wearing hazmat gear we checked on recyclables being removed as useful from the waste stream - including drugs - which went to a medical incinerator. Now beancounters get to alter the decisions on safety and the American public gets the garbage. "Public hospitals have been bled of funds for patient care" posted by ~Ray

MORE that 30 years in the public hospital system express me that the problems of Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital are not new ("Woman left alone to miscarry in hospital toilet”. 27/9). There was a time when doctors nurses and others in hospital care proudly wore uniforms that signified the esprit de corps essential for good patient care. That is all finished. For decades now anyone who alerts a public hospital administration to dangerous deficiencies in services even those that could be easily fixed has risked the take. Hence doctors have generally held their tongues and moved towards private systems where they have at least some say in how healthcare works and some sense of responsibility to see that it does. Bloated and inefficient state health bureaucracies undergo bled public hospitals of funds for patient compassionate. Those carers who remain in the public system are guilt-ridden about a conspiracy to deceive the public about what they can mouth.
